More about Henna

Henna for hair color is an excellent natural option since it stains your hair strands and provides a deep conditioning to hair resulting in hair that is thick and silky. The stain is translucent and combines with your natural hair color.





Henna or Lawsonia Inermis plant reaches full maturity at 3 years old and the leaves provide the best dye saturation at that point. There are no dye components in the twigs, stems, and roots of the plant. The henna plant leaves process a dye molecule and other is grown in many countries, only dyes red-orange. Other mixes and chemicals or shades of dye are often referenced to as henna, and THEY ARE NOT HENNA! BEWARE!!



There are 3 commonly known types of Henna Powder 
1) Neutral Henna 2) Red Henna 3) Black Henna. 
Only one of these is real natural henna



Red Henna is a green powder that derives from the henna plant leaves. It contains a red-orange dye molecule and is a great conditioner for hair. It leaves the hair thick smooth and silky. 


Neutral Henna is a green powder that is actually cassia obovata and is not neutral or henna!! It contains a golden dye molecule that will stain hair a golden yellow. It will provide great shine and gloss to all hair types. 


Black Henna is a green powder and is actually indigo and it not black or henna!!
